Most of the Confederate Flags we sell are from the
UCV, United Confederate Veterans organization.
These groups were set up and organized by Confederate Civil War Veterans
ten years after the Civil War ended in 1875.
The groups were in their heyday till around 1900 when they steadily died
off till the 1920's when there were not enough Civil War Veterans to keep the organization going.
The UCV groups organized
in just about every city & town throughout the south. They called the local town group a "Post". They held State and National
"Re-Unions" every year and issued state and national badges to commerate each reunion.
Northern Civil War veterans
organized into a similar organization called the "GAR", Grand Army of the Republic.
